Seven Nautical Miles‘ 2008 debut release, Every Ocean Reversed, is a beautiful and heavy hitting experimental metal album iconified by haunting guitar riffs and drums that change from undulating and mysterious to powerfully driving. Each song on the 6-track record is littered with gorgeous post-rock moments of fleeting guitars to dark, heavy crescendos pushed over the edge by singer Mathias Öystilä’s screaming vocals.
Though not available in the US, Every Ocean Reversed is available from their record labels store. It’s also on Amazon.com, but they’re currently out of stock. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on a the vinyl copy with the alternate artwork please leave a comment.
